I love these two. I need to start by saying that as Fi & Tom are very good friends of mine. I was really honored when they asked me to be their wedding photographer, proper chuffed in fact! Fi & Tom’s wedding was an absolute pleasure to be a part of. It was a wonderful, creative, thoughtful combination of love, cheekiness and all things meaningful to them both.
Here is my summary of their epic wedding. The big day was on the 31.1.13 on a very beautiful, bright and nippy winters day. They officially tied the knot at St Georges Hall, then sloped off for a cheeky pint (or 3) to Dr Duncans then rejoined their guests at the amazing Puschka restaurant for yummy food and drinks and top service! After that everyone bobbed off to the beautiful Bluecoat where they had their evening reception for more fun, laughter, music and mayhem. They DIY’d beyond their means with their pals mucking in to help out. They used talented local artists and beautiful crafts to make this a truly special day. I just want to mention a few of the gems that made this wedding day so special, but need to point out that as I was a guest I only photographed a certain part of it so some of the things I mention aren’t featured on this post but can be located by the brilliant photographer Wesley Storey who took over for the night shift! So there was Fi’s amazing birdcage from Nook & Willow, their stunning engraved rings were designed by Lisa Waldman at LW Silver, Fi’s divine shoes were from Vivienne Westwood, their uber strong ‘Jonesy Wedding Water’ was from Liverpool Craft Beer Company, their tiered wedding Cheese Cake was from the Liverpool Cheese Company (drool). Fiona and her pals mucked in to make her beautiful paper fleur bouquets and button holes and all the other amazing floral decorations from recycled paper, Luan needs to get a special mention here as the origami master! Simon Armstrong extraordinaire designed and made all of the table confetti and laser cut wall decorations as well as their chalk board speech bubbles from their pre wed shoot. He is a wedding day must! They used a gorgeous Gocco to print out the order of service on the confetti bags, the amazing Kaya and her choir sang ‘Me and Mrs Jones’ at the signing of the register, the Mixnots spun some tunes at the evening do and there was a cracking set from ‘We The Undersigned’. There was one thing missing from the day that I have not mentioned and did not photograph and that was Missy Chops the pood, I think they missed a trick with not having her as the ring bearer!
Hats off to you both Fi & Tom for a wedding day full of original goodness and thank you so very much for asking me to be your photographer, we all had such a laugh and you guys are the bestest.
