Elise & Marcus were married on a beautiful winters day on the 28th December 2011. The ceremony was held at All Saints Church and the reception was held in the East Wing of Ripley Castle.
Elise and her bridal party stayed in Birchwood House cottages which was just over the road from the Church so they didn’t have far to walk on the afternoon of the wedding and had lovely views of the comings and goings of Ripley Village as they were getting ready for the big day. Marcus and his best men and ushers were keeping out of the cold in the Boars Head hotel which soon filled up with their wedding guests waiting for the ceremony.
After the ceremony they braved the cold and wind and made the short walk over to be welcomed by the lovely warmth and cosiness of the East Wing which had been decorated with festive loveliness.
It was beautiful day followed by the evening reception with an amazing band called Beat Street International that had everybody jumping around like they were at a mini festival. I have never seen a groom, let alone a bride crowd surf their way out of the last song at a reception party. Elise & Marcus were naturals at it, it gave a whole new meaning to the term ‘Here comes the Bride’!
Thanks for letting me be a part of your special day Elise & Marcus. It was perfect.
