Sue & Michael got married on a beautiful sunny spring day in April. The ceremony was at All Saints Church in Childwall and the reception party was at the very lovely Childwall Golf Club. It couldn’t have been more perfect, the service was so loving and heartfelt and the reception party and speeches had me wiping tears of laughter and emotion away from my eyes.
It included: bets placed on the ‘longest’ best man speech in the world; an extremely witty and moving speech from Michael about how they met, their life together with their beautiful daughter Jasmine, who looked angelic in her little bridesmaid dress; Alan, Michael’s brother, announcing to his father in front of the whole reception party that his girlfriend Lauren was ‘expecting’. As a wind up.
You can see his fathers reaction for yourself. I couldn’t stop laughing, his timing was immaculate.
The individual table kareoke had everybody loosened up and ready to enjoy the rest of the evening in no time, especially Alan, Michael’s brother and Michael’s best mates. You couldn’t tear the microphone away from them.
The evening reception was amazing. My jaw dropped open as I ogled the delights on the stunningly assembled sweet shop table that the very talented Natalie Adlington from Half Dozen Designs had created. Natalie has such a talent for all things delicious on the lips and eyes, she also made Sue & Michael’s beautiful ‘cupcake’ cake. She makes food look divine and taste even more so.
Sue had two first dances, the first was with her Dad, Graham, and the second with Michael. It is no wonder that she never stopped smiling all day when she looked so beautiful, was surrounded by their lovely family and friends and had two special dances with the most important men in her life.
It was certainly a very special day and one I won’t forget. I came home grinning from ear to ear.
Thanks for asking me to be your photographer and letting me be a part of it all.
